This is the monumental symbol of Turin and the highest construction in the city, after holding the first place for the highest brick construction in Europe for a very long time. 167 meters tall, the Mole Antonelliana stands proud above the rooftops in the heart of the city with the Alps framing it in the background.
It is named after the architect Alessandro Antonelli, who designed it towards the end of the 19th century. There is a panoramic lift to take visitors to the top. The National Cinema Museum is housed inside the monument.
