Wines, Trentino-South Tyrol

An all Italian toast

Something is missing if a lunch or dinner in Italy isn’t accompanied by a good glass of wine. And there really are lots of wines produced all over the country which can accompany any meal: whether light or more substantial, as an enhancement of the differing and unique variety of flavours in one’s mouth. Some brandnames are famous throughout the world and have become synonymous with Italy: the Chianti Classico from Tusacny, the Brunello from Montalcino, the Recioto and Amarone from Veneto, the Nero d’Avola from Sicily and the Teroldego Rotaliano from Trentino. But there are also less known wines which are just as good, like the Primitivo di Maduria from Puglia, the white wines from Emilia Romagna and the red wines from the Valtellina.
A holiday in Italy is worth their  discovery, perhaps accompanied by an expert wine-taster during one of the many initiatives organised throughout the year thoughout the country by associations, consortiums and single wine cellars.

TEROLDEGO, THE PRINCE OF TRENTINO

It is the wine that best personifies the character, the generosity and the quality of the region of Trentino, in particular the area of Mezzolombardo where the vine matures to its best to give life to a ruby red wine with a dry, full flavour. » Visit
